Liquid Intelligent Technologies has achieved the 100,000 km fiber network milestone, positioning the company as the largest independent fiber network provider in emerging markets globally.

Liquid has been maneuvering steadily through Africa, investing in increasing its reach, which it has successfully done, moving the dial from 89,989 km at the beginning of 2021 to reach this new milestone. The fiber network connects 14 countries, primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The company is also the first to establish a direct terrestrial communication link between Cape Town, South Africa, and Cairo, Egypt stretching the entire length of the continent and offering improved latency.

Knowing that connectivity is vital for Africa’s economic growth, the extended penetration will also enable small businesses, enterprises, and government entities to increase their competitiveness through the many digital solutions catering to their individual needs.
