MTN Rwanda customers can now access eCommerce websites at no data cost

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage across the world and distort programs, organisations, companies and ministries are working together to mitigate the damage caused by the crisis. MTN Rwanda recently announced that customers can now shop from eCommerce websites at no data cost.

Rwanda began easing lockdowns at the start of May with measures like robots helping in health centres among other methods. Despite this, more innovative measures continued being rolled out to help citizens easily blend into the new normal.

The recent move being MTN Rwanda’s partnership with Rwanda Information Society Authority, Ministry of ICT and Innovation and Rwanda ICT Chamber to make it possible for subscribers to access their favourite shopping platforms for free.
